In the office of the Belarusian Basketball Federation, the heads and representatives of clubs and teams discussed the upcoming XXXIV BETERA - the Basketball Championship of the Republic of Belarus among men's and women's teams of the 2025-2026 season.
Denis Matsulevich, Head of the BBF Competition Department, summed up the results of the XXXIII BETERA, the Basketball Championship of the Republic of Belarus among men's and women's teams for the 2024-2025 season. The participants discussed the organization and holding of the XXXIV BETERA Championship of the Republic of Belarus in basketball among men's and women's teams of the 2025-2026 season, the amount of registration and application fees, the amount of referee payments for match services; the format, dates and venue of the Cups of the Republic of Belarus in basketball among men's and women's teams in 2025; amendments and additions to the Rules of the Championship.
Start and end dates of the Championships:
Women – September 20, 2025 – May 4, 2026
Men – September 27, 2025 – early June 2026
Anastasia Marinina, General Secretary and Executive Director, thanked everyone for their work last season and noted that in the new season, clubs and teams should focus not on finding foreign players, but on training Belarusian players for national and national teams. The emphasis was also placed on the need for more targeted and individual work with young basketball players, as in the upcoming season only children born in 2003 and younger will be able to participate in Group B of the major League. Special attention was paid to the need to train judges in the regions. Marinina explained that the absence of referees in Mogilev, Vitebsk and Grodno regions leads to an increase in application fees for all teams, as the costs of sending referees to the place of organization of matches increase first of all.
