The Belarusian national team won the main trophy for the second year in a row.
International competitions among youth teams of Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan were held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, from May 5th to 9th.
The tournament was dedicated to the victory of the Soviet people in World War II.
Our basketball players played the first match with the White Fox team (Uzbekistan) and won with a score of 99:20. Then the national team of Belarus U-16 met with rivals from Uzbekistan "Sirdarya", the match ended with a score of 102:36 in favor of the Belarusians. The next match was with the RSU RSHIKOR team from Kazakhstan and it ended with a score of 105:29. And in the final match with the national team of Kyrgyzstan U-16, our guys also won – 84:46.
The three winners of the international tournament "Victory Cup" included the National team of the Republic of Belarus U-16 (1st place), the RGU RSHIKOR named after K. Akhmetov, Kazakhstan (2nd place), the national team of Kyrgyzstan U-16 (3rd place).
Nazar Zhdanyuk was recognized as the best player of our team.
The Belarusian team included pupils of the Republican State College of the Olympic Reserve (RSUOR): Zakhar Barbashinsky, Ivan Bogdanovich, Semyon Gural, Yaroslav Gest, Ivan Nayda, Gleb Butovsky, Timur Matveenko, Vladislav Satyrov, Arseny Isakov, Kirill Kets, Anton Poznyak, Artyom Yursha, Ilya Baranov, Oleg Saley and Nazar Zhdanyuk. The team's coaches are Andrey Klemez and Diana Laptinskaya.
