The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus released the memorable coins “Summer Sports. Basketball” due to the 100th anniversary of the development of the sport in Belarus.
The designer of the coins is the artist of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus Svetlana Zaskevich. The coins were minted at the Republican State Enterprise "Kazakhstan Mint of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan" namely: silver - "proof", copper-nickel - "prooflike". The coins have a round concave-convex shape, on the heads and tails there is an edging which is goes along the circumference. There is a nick in the ridge of coins.
Obverse side
In the center of the observe side in a basketball rim - a stereoscopic image of a basketball ball, along the contour of the ball - the caption: REPUBLIC OF BELARUS, denomination: 20 RUBLES (on silver) and 1 RUBEL (on copper-nickel), year of mint. Above placed the image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus. At the bottom of the silver coin is a sample of the alloy.
Reverse
In the center reverse side is the image of two basketball players. Along the circumference of the coin there are radial stripes which is indicating movement, and the captions: BASKETBALL, SUMMER SPORTS.
The following coins will be available for sail:
Silver coin: 20 rubles, weight 33.63 g, hallmark of alloy 925, diameter 38.61 mm, mintage 799 pcs.
Copper-nickel coin: 1 ruble, weight 25 g, diameter 37 mm, mintage 1,499 pcs.
These coins are the legal means of payment of the Republic of Belarus and are obligatory for acceptance at face value for all types of payments without any restrictions.
