Today, on December 8, a meeting was held at the office of the Belarusian Basketball Federation, during which a number of issues were considered.
The members of the Executive Committee approved Andrey Navoychik as the head coach of the 3x3 women's national team, and Valentina Navoychik as the coach assistant.
- Earlier, the ex-head coach of the women's 3x3 team, Yuri Volk, announced his decision to complete work with the national team, - explained General Secretary-Executive Director Nastassia Marynina. - Therefore, a meeting of the head coaching council of the Belarussian Basketball Federation was held, whose members submitted the candidacies of Andrei and Valentina Navoychik for consideration. The Executive Committee supported this proposal. This duo successfully proved itself in 2021, when our youth teams showed decent results: they won bronze medals at the FIBA 3x3 U17 Europe Cup 2021 and the ninth place of the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup.
Also, the Executive Committee of the BBF decided to form a women's national youth basketball team born in 2009-2010 on the basis of the Grodno State School of the Olympic Reserve (coach - Victoria Datsun).
Based on the proposal of the Chairman of the republican panel of coaches, Pyotr Leonidovich Ivashkov, it was agreed to hold an off-season coach seminar on February 4-6, 2022 and invite Fyodor Borisovich Dmitriev, Chairman of the Educational and Methodological Commission of the Russian Basketball Federation, as the main lecturer.
In addition, the calendar of competitions of national 3x3 teams in 2022, the organization and preparation of the XXIV International Basketball Tournament in memory of the Minister of Sports and Tourism, the first head of the NOC of Belarus Vladimir Ryzhenkov were considered.
