After the end of the qualifying windows for the World Cup and Women’s EuroBasket, the International Basketball Federation has updated the rankings of the men's and women's teams.
Men
For the first time since 2015, the men's National team of Belarus stepped over and ended the year at 48th out of 164. Plus three lines in the world table of ranks and 26th in the European top list. Four years ago, the men's team was 92nd, and today Rostislav Vergun's wards are confidently moving up.
In the top ten of the world top, only the national teams of Lithuania (moved up by 1 line and is now listed at No. 8) and Italy (lost one point and is based on the 9th position) have changed places. The United States is still in the lead, followed by Spain and Australia.
Women
At the top part of the women's list, there were also no significant changes. The first three positions are confidently held by the United States, Spain and Australia, respectively. Teams of Turkey (+1 and 9th line) and Serbia (-1 and 10th line) changed places. The National team of Belarus is still one step away from the top 10 in the world rankings, ranking 11th and 6th in Europe.
Girls
The youth team finishes the year on the 38th place, adding 12 points, and in the European ranking our girls take 18th place.
The US team is invariably ahead, Spain is in second position, and the French team closes the top three.
