The seventh season of the European Women's Basketball League began at the end of October, when 4 teams played in the first stage of Group A: Zhabiny Brno (Czech Republic), Kibirkstis-MRU (Lithuania), Piestanske Cajky (Slovakia) and Olimpia (Belarus). According to the results of two matches, the Grodno squad was destroyed twice.
In group B in the first stage the women's team of Tsmoki Minsk, as well as Nika (Russia), Peresvet-SFU (Russia) and Liepaja (Latvia) took part. The Belarusians also failed to be victorious.
The second stage was much more successful for Tsmoki Minsk. They won three victories out of three. First, they defeated the Czech Ostrava 71:74, then Young Angels Kosice from Slovakia 74:69 and finished the tour with a victory over Liepaja 49:60.
And now the team of Natalia Trofimova is ready to join the battle. Horizont, the champion of the League, starts with the second stage of Group A, which will be held in Piestany (Slovakia) from 7 to 9 December.

The European Women's Basketball League (EWBL) is created for professional teams from Central, Eastern and Northern Europe. The EWBL is the first international league to organize a regular season in three stages.
In the 21/22 season, 12 teams take part, divided into 2 groups. After three stages of the regular season, the top eight will be determined, which will continue to fight in the playoffs. And the top 4 will meet in the Superfinal at the end of March 2022.
