Today, on 27August, the representative of the Belarusian National Team Palina Kastsiukavets won the bronze medal of the basketball skill competition, which was held at the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup 2021.
According to the rules of the basketball skills competition only one player per each 17 women’s team could take part in the individual competition.
After the successful qualification, the Belarusian met a rival from Latvia in the semi-final. Unfortunately, as it turned out, Palina met thefuture winner.
Basketball players from Hungary and Russia competed in the second semi-final. In this pair, the Hungarian was faster and more accurate.
Due to the fact that theadditional scoresthat yesterday were not in our favor, today the Belarusian girl tookthethird place, since the time to passthe distance in the semifinals was faster than that of the Russian.
In the final, the representative of Latvia triumph over her opponent from Hungary.
Palina Kastsiukavets was awardedwith a bronze medal: "I am glad that I was able to win a medal for our country at this 3x3 World Cup. For me, this was the first experience of participating in such hugh level competition and, of course, I am grateful that I was able to overcome my anxiety and show a decent result."
