Piotr Ivashkov the Chairman of the Republican Referees Collegium: "This seminar was divided into three so-called blocks: the first of which was attended by 30 best referees of the National Championships of the Republic of Belarus, the second by the commissioners of the National Championships of the Republic of Belarus, and the third one was attended by the young referees of Children and Youth Basketball League. I would like to note that each block of the seminar addressed all aspects of referees’ work. Official rules (latest changes), mechanics, presentation on the court, officials signals, game management, the psychology of refereeing. In addition, each participant of the event received the prepared by the RBF manual on the basics of refereeing (test sheets). During the lectures, the participants were shown thematic presentations including specific video clips from the Championships of Belarus and Russia. The participants also watched and studied separate games of our National Championships of the Republic of Belarus. In addition, there was a practical experience for them: 12 young referees were able to officiate the children's game, after which each of them received personal tasks to improve the quality of refereeing. The seminar was held in a friendly and working atmosphere, which contributed to productive work. I am pleased that the cooperation between the BBF and the RBF in the field of refereeing is systematic, which undoubtedly contributes to improving the quality of the work of the Republican Referees Collegium".

Fedor Dmitriev the Chairman of the Academic and Methodological Commission of RBF, PhD in Pedagogy, FIBA instructor and referee: "This seminar was certainly very useful, primarily due to the fact that a large number of young referees took part in it. Given the fact that various innovations and changes constantly appear in the interpretation of certain basketball situations, we all need to regularly study new material and improve our already existing knowledge. One should not forget that modern basketball is developing, and each referee’s duty is to grow professionally".
