Today on 7th November 2002 the Crisis Management Team created by FIBA Europe decided that the game Belarus vs Poland, scheduled for 12th November  2020 in Istanbul (Turkey), will not be played due to identified cases of COVID-19 among the members of the Belarusian team.

The official statement says that due to the current situation, that the majority of the team delegation member have to be considered close 1st level contact of the infected persons, it is not secure for the health of the other teams in the bubble to allow the Belarusian team delegation to arrive into the bubble. The further decision regarding the game will be determined later.

Note: considering the current situation with COVID-19 and in order to secure the health and safety of players, coaches and officials, the FIBA Europe Executive Committee decided to organize the FIBA Women’s Eurobasket 2021 Qualifiers in November 2020 and in February 2021 in the so-called "bubbles". In the Turkish city of Istanbul was about to host the games of Group E (Lithuania, Serbia, Turkey and Albania) and Group F (Belarus, UK, Poland).
