On 10th November the Republican Student Basketball League winner and prize-winners were determined on the court of RGUOR.
It should be noted that there wasn’t any intrigue in the game for the Champion title. Perhaps, this course of events was influenced by the fact that due to illness BNTU lost its main player Uladzislau Blizniuk. In addition, a strong and experienced BSUIR had a great start: a comfortable advantage – 31:17 after the jump ball. It seemed that BNTU managed to find their game in the second quarter. Both teams put an emphasis on the 3-pointers, although neither of them had succeeded in it. During the game Fiodar Radenka's team managed not only to save the obtained advantage in the first 10 minutes but also to slightly increase it. The BSUIR’s victory with the score 95:74 brought their university the Champion title, thus once again confirming to be the strongest country’s university team of the recent years.
The best BNTU players: Aliaksandr Vladyka (16 points, 7 rebounds), Andrei Radisheuski (17 points, 9 rebounds), Mikita Dashkevich (24 points, 6 assists).
The best BSUIR players: Henadziy Zakhar (11 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, 5 steals), Uladzislau Mikulski (25 points), Vadzim Stubeda (18 points, 13 rebounds).
The bronze match was not full of surprises. Despite the absence of yesterday's semi-final leader Aliaksei Navoichyk, BSUPC seemed to be a visible favorite. The "athletes" (BSUPC), which roster included the representatives of such clubs as "Tsmoki-Minsk", "Grodno-93" and "Rubon", immediately took the initiative, predetermining the outcome in the first quarter – 34:13. Even in the first half Grodno team had 17 losses and they 29 turnovers at the end. Besides, BSUPC were good at 3-pointers – 14 of 35 attempts. Therefore, the final score looked quite logical: a confident victory of the capital's university and the bronze of the competition – 99:63.
The best GrSU players: Kiril Vinakurau (14 points, 12 rebounds), Yauheni Savostian (7 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists), Dzmitry Makhnach (22 points).
The best BSUPC plyers: David Odiakh (19 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assist, 6 steals), Tsimur Drukau (11 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists), Maksim Karattsou (20 points).

Fiodar Radenka BSUIR head coach: "I’d like to congratulate my team and our fans with this victory. To be honest, the semi-final was far more difficult for us than the current game. We have a great team of the experienced basketball players and the talented young ones. It is good that there are many more players in the BSUIR reserve, who will have to defend the honor of the university at student tournaments in the future. Therefore, I am confident that even with the absence of our current leaders, we will remain competitive and continue to fight for even greater awards".
Henadziy Zakhar BSUIR player: "For me, this student competition was the last one as the university’s "defender". That is why I am doubly pleased that BSUIR managed to prove to be the strongest among the universities basketball teams again. It is also great to become the MVP of the tournament. I'm sure that these last games for my university will forever remain in my memory".
In addition, there was an awarding ceremony of the Republican Universiade-2019. The representatives of the universities, which succeeded in various sports last year, received awards from the First Deputy Head of Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus and BBF President Maksim Ryzhenkov, Deputy Minister of Education Alexander Kaldubai, Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism Alexandre Baraulia and Chairman of BASS Aliaksandr Bahdanovich.
