BBF received a grant from FIBA Europe for further implementation of the project “Her World, Her Rules”.

The European Office of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA Europe) has decided to continue to work with BBF to support and promote girls and women in the European basketball community, noting a successful and productive work on “Her World, Her Rules” program implementation in our country, the high level of events organization within the framework of this project, the scale, a colorful branding, as well as the interest of the Belarusian media.

We would like to remind you that in December 2019 the most promising girls (born in 2007-2008) were selected in six Belarusian cities within the framework of a joint project of FIBA Europe and BBF – “Her World, Her Rules”. According to the results of the regional stages, 27 most promising athletes as well as their coaches were invited to the final round. The respective training camp was held from 10th January 2020 in Minsk. The specialists of the RNPTS Sporta (Republican Research and Practice Centre of Sport) and NADA attended it. The large-scale final was held on 15th January 2020.

In June and August 2020, three more camps for girls born in 2007-2008 were held at the State Sports School in Minsk. As a result, the best athletes were selected for the admission to the State Sports School.

The first international camp for potential female referees was held in November 2019 in the Belarusian capital within the frames of the program “Her World, Her Rules”. Twenty participants from Russia, Georgia, Serbia, Latvia, Poland, Moldova and Belarus acquired theoretical knowledge and had practice as referees during the games of the International Basketball Tournament in the memory of Semen Khalipski. The head of the Finnish Basketball Association’s Referee Department and FIBA instructor Kati Nunas was a guest lecturer at the event.
