Today, on 15th August, the basketball 3x3 tournament was held in the forest park area near Grodno. 16 teams took part in this basketball event.
BBF and its partner the recreation center "Prival" organized a large-scale basketball festival for boys and girls (2007-2008).
Eight girls’ teams representing Grodno, Skidel, Smorgon, Mosty and Molodechno competed for the tournament prizes.
The basketball players from the team Smorgon-2 gained the victory, girls from Mostavchanka became the second and the athletes from Skidelskaya Sports School are the third. During the summer the winners took part in training camps of the FIBA Europe project "Her World, Her Rules" led by Alena Ivanouskaya.
– I would like to thank both "Prival" and all the organizers for such a wonderful holiday for children, – Valeriy Yurchenko shared the impressions of the champions. – The girls were well prepared for this tournament. Of course, I would like them to compete with even stronger teams, because in autumn these athletes are about to start training in the RGUOR in Minsk.
There were 8 boys squads from Grodno, Lida, Mosty and Smorgon; the strongest were players of the Grodno-1 team. Silver awards went to Mostov "Yurevichy", bronze - to the Lida DYUSSH №1.
The winners of the competition received memorable and valuable gifts –multimedia and portable speaker systems from the recreation center "Prival". In addition, all participants received a basketball uniform and a set of branded souvenirs.
Another pleasant moment was the awarding of sports schools, which took part in the Children and Youth Basketball League "Slodych" in the season 2019-2020, that, unfortunately, due to the difficult epidemiological situation could not be completed. Thus, the memorable BBF statuettes were handed over to the coaches representing Smorgon SDYUSHOR, SDYUSHOR № 7 of BC "Prinemanie", DYUSSH № 1 of Lida, Skidelskaya DYUSSH, SDYUSHOR of Mosty District, DYUSSH Olympic-2011 Molodechno.
- During these difficult days, it is important for everyone to understand that sport is what unites and brings positive emotions, and we wanted children to get emotionally distracted from the problems they had to face now, - Nastassia Marynina explained. – While playing sports children learn various things: to compete honestly, to respect each other, to get positive emotions and to understand that all battles are better to be left on basketball courts.
The recreation center “Prival” is located in a picturesque forest park area on the bank of the Neman river in 15 minutes’ drive from the center of Grodno. The territory of "Prival" is a popular place for recreation for both Belarusian tourists and foreign guests of our country. Modern hotel, varied menu in the local cafe, well-equipped sports courts, rental of various vehicles, entertainment complexes, a possibility of organizing holidays – will allow each guest of the complex to spend a weekend or vacation in a beautiful place in nature, as well as find activities for every taste.
It should be noted that from 31st July to 1st August, a 3x3 tournament among Women's teams (the representatives of Grodno basketball school) was held here as well.

We would like to remind you that in 2018-2020 within the framework of the joint project of BBF and FIBA Europe "Step to the Future" two large-scale festivals of basketball skills were held for young Belarusian athletes, including regional selection stages and finals, which were held at two arenas of the capital - Falcon Club Arena and the Sports Palace respectively. In addition, in summer and autumn of 2019, the training camps for children were organized in Volozhin and Minsk with the help of the U.S. Embassy in Belarus; the main lecturers were the American experts Chris Dial and Justin Berry, representing The Basketball Embassy.
