Dmitri Koltounov's team will train at the Palova Arena from 27th July to 5th August.
The list of basketball players called at the training camp: Valiantsin Nazarau, Vitali Lebedev, Tsimafei Paraliou, Tsimur Drukau, Kanstantsin Satsuk, Maksim Karattsou, Maksim Liutych, Andrei Rahozenka.
Head coach – Dmitri Koltounov.
Dmitri Koltounov, head coach of the Men's National 3x3 Team of Belarus: "Initially we planned to purposefully prepare for the 1st CIS Games, which were to be held in early September in Kazan. However, the other day it was decided to postpone these competitions to October 2020. That’s why we had to adjust the plan and specifics of the intensity during the camp, paying more attention to work on the physical and technical aspects of players. In general, it should be noted that we have a fairly wide range of basketball players in the U-23 category, some of whom already have not only experience of performing on the international arena, but also some success in various 3x3 high-class tournaments. On this basis, I can say that the final roaster of the U-23 team, which will represent our country in the season 2020-2021, will be formed in a highly competitive environment, which will certainly have a positive impact on the level of the team's performance".
Nastassia Marynina, BBF Secretary General and Executive Director: «Our U-23 team started its preparation for this summer of 2020 in the last year. We planned to host the stage of the FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League 2020 in June or July in Minsk. In 2019, our men reached the final of the prestigious 3x3 basketball tournament among the youth teams of Europe and Asia, where they took the fourth place. Two members of the team – Andrei Rahozenka and Maksim Liutych – are bronze medalists of the 2nd European Games 2019. That is why we pinned our hopes on these players, who, unfortunately, have been playing in this age category for the last time. However, in spite of everything, they continue to practice, because they will soon become the first-string of the National Team".
