Training camp for the National 3x3 Team will be held from 1 to 8 June 2020.
Yury Vouk, the head coach of the Belarusian Women's 3x3 Team: «There are 6 players at the training camp at the moment. Four of them are the main candidates for the National Team -– Natallia Dashkevich, Anastasia Suschik, Viyaleta Kiuliak, Natallia Anufryienka. Two promising athletes – Katsiaryna Karpuk and Iryna Krauchanka – are also here and aiming to get into the U-23 team in the upcoming seasons. It should be noted that three basketball players – Hanna Lapo, Maryna Ivashchanka, Darya Mahalias – were invited to the 5x5 National Team in June. We are well aware that this team is currently at the stage of generational change and requires young players, so we sincerely wish our girls to prove themselves there with dignity. They will join us in July, and we will all continue to prepare for the main tournament of the season -– FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2020, scheduled for the spring of 2021. In addition, this autumn’s FIBA calendar still includes such official 3x3 tournaments as the European Championship, the U-23 World Cup and the U-18 World Cup." The main goal of summer training camps is to develop players’ individual skills and work on the simplest team interactions. Girls need to use every opportunity for their own progress. Now, especially in the absence of competitions, it is a great time to focus on honing the main technical elements.
Reminder: In early March 2020, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic, the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) decided to postpone FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2020.
