The BBF partner "Vimpex Crown" will also provide the participants of the tournament with certificates for a 50% discount on the entire collection of PEAK clothing and shoes.
- This tournament should become the beginning of the development of cyber basketball in our country, - General Secretary of the BBF Nastassia Marynina explained, - This is a new direction that FIBA is currently paying special attention to. For example, in Russia and Estonia real and very exciting championships are already taking place. With the support of the Belarusian esports federation and VOKA, the BBF plans to organize a series of such virtual competitions including both professional players and fans. There are already more than twenty athletes in our database, who not only practice on the court, but also play a console game in their free time. In a world where there are restrictions on public events, such competitions become a great opportunity to talk about basketball and draw attention to a healthy lifestyle.
- For me, participation in a professional cyber tournament will be the first experience of that kind, - the bronze medalist of the 2nd European Games Andrei Rahozenka says, - I will not hide that in my free time I don’t mind playing virtual basketball, thereby distracting both from the physical and psychological activity from a real sports. In addition, we often organize our own mini-tournaments with our teammates at training camps, where the fight for victory is always emotional and stressful. I am looking forward to the opportunity to try my hand in a new capacity and I am seriously preparing to compete for the main prize.
